The third Helvetian Swiss destination (Basel) was introduced by Avro RJ100 reg. HB-IYW in Prague today. The passengers transport between Czech Republic and Switzerland keeps growing, from 271 638 in 2005 to 292 647 in the first 11 months of 2006. The passengers can fly from Prague to Zurich (3x daily Swiss, 2x daily Czech Airlines), Geneva (1x daily easyJet and Swiss, 2x daily Flybaboo) or Basel (5x weekly easyJet and 4x weekly Swiss).

The first scheduled flight in the history of Pardubice airport is expected on Sunday 21.01. Transaero is going to operate every Sunday at times 14:00 Moscow (Domodedovo) - Pardubice 14:55/15:55 - Moscow 20:35 with their own B737-300/400. The airline is going to offer a few seats for individual sale on each flight, operated as charter until now.

Due to financial problems of the company, Georgian National Airlines suspended flights to their sole EU destination - Prague - on 20.12 after only 6 weeks of operation. Own CRJ200 is expected to be returned to the leasing company.

Malev wet-leased their Boeing 737-800 reg. HA-LOH to Italian Livingston. The same aircraft operated for Livingston from April to September this year. The contract is signed till the end of February 2007.

Centralwings has returned the leased Boeing 737-400 SP-LLA (msn 27131/2458) to LOT. Although the aircraft is back in service with LOT from 14th Dec, it still carries additional Centralwings stickers.

Fischer Air Polska restarts operations tomorrow with a single Boeing 757-200 leased from AWAS (msn 25490/510, ex SP-FVR) that carries temporary US registration N490AN. The first flight is scheduled to Hurgada and will be operated for Exim Tours travel agency. Fischer Air Polska is also expected to change its name to Prima Charter.
